New environmentally friendly remover AR 300-77
April 2025
April 2025
For decades, the remover N-ethylpyrrolidone (AR 300-70, AR 300-72, NEP) has been used for the reliabe removal of resist residues from various substrates. However, continuous evaluations of chemical substances have revealed that NEP is to be classified as reprotoxic and causes severe eye damage.
In line with our responsibility toward users and employees, we have investigated alternatives to replace these removers and identified carbonate-based solvents as promising candidates. Our new remover, AR 300-77, consists of a mixture of propylene carbonate and diethyl carbonate and can be used without risk in compliance with all relevant safety standards.
Extensive testing has shown that AR 300-77 is particularly effective for novolak-based resists, even outperforming NEP-based removers. Further internal studies are currently being expanded to cover the entire Allresist portfolio.
We would like to offer all interested users the opportunity to test this environmentally friendly remover themselves. Beginning in May 2025, we will provide sample quantities and look forward to receiving your feedback.
Due to its clear environmental advantages, we have selected remover AR 300-77 as Resist of the Month for April 2025.
